The Sound of 'TRON: Legacy'
Film hits theaters on December 17
I finally see TRON: Legacy next Monday, which means I am one of the last people on the planet to see it as screenings have been held all over and critics from all over have seen and reviewed it. RopeofSilicon's own, Bill Cody, already saw it and attended the press junket and will have more to offer in the future, but I told him not to tell me a thing about what he thought. I've done my very best to avoid any reviews or talk of the film in hope of going in absolutely fresh, and that includes trailers as well as the video below.
Soundworks Collection has once again offered up a sound featurette for the new film featuring sound re-recording mixer Gary Rizzo, supervising sound editor Gwen Yates Whittle and sound designer Steve Boeddeker. This isn't a film that will be up for Best PIcture Oscar, but I am sure visual and sound effects are certainly in the realm of possibility.

I would give TRON: Legacy Oscar nominations for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Costume Design, and Best Visual Effects. That maybe giving it too much but I think it has a good chance of being nominated for 2 or 4 Oscars.
Cant wait to see this…in good old 2D!!!
