New, English Subtitled Trailer for Asghar Farhadi's 'The Past'

Faradi's latest finally comes with some additional context

Finally a subtitled version of the trailer for Asghar Farhadi's The Past (Le Passé) has arrived along with the official announcement it will play in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The film serves as the follow-up to Farhadi's Oscar-winning film A Separation and stars Berenice Bejo (The Artist), Ali Mosaffa and Tahar Rahim (A Prophet).

The story follows Ahmad (Mosaffa) as he arrives in Paris from Tehran at the request of his wife Marie (Bejo), whom he has not seen after four years of separation to carry out the formalities of their divorce. Upon arrival he sees Marie has taken up with another man (Rahim).

Check out the new trailer below, it's sure to be one of the most anticipated films at the fest.

    Definitely looking forward to this. I loved 'A Separation'. Unfortunately who knows when ill get to see it because movies like this don't play close enough for me to see in theaters. Either way ill be seeing thistle first opportunity I get.

    Brad, the actor who plays the main male role is called Mosaffa, not Karimi. Ali Karimi is a famous footballer.

      Wait... Babak Karimi plays a minor role, he's not the husband. The husband is Ali Mosaffa.
