The Line-Up for the 2010 Toronto Film Festival is Amazing
There's almost no way I'll be able to cover all of this
This morning the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) announced the line-up for their 2010 festival, of which I will be attending, and it is an absolute dream listing of films including upcoming films from directors such as Darren Aronosky, Robert Redford, John Madden, Ben Affleck, Francois Ozon, Mike Leigh, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Rowan Joffe, Tony Goldwyn, Tom Hooper, George Hickenlooper, Andrew Lau, Guillaume Canet, Sylvain Chomet, Susanne Bier, Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, Mark Romanek, John Cameron Mitchell, Julian Schnabel, Woody Allen, Michael Winterbottom, Stephen Frears… and on, and on, and on… The festival takes place from September 9 to 19 and I will be there through the 16th and am now only hoping I can catch as many of these as possible.
I have listed everything below and linked the titles that are already in the RopeofSilicon database as well as included links to my reviews for the six films I already saw at Cannes.
For now this is just an introduction to TIFF. I will be doing a lot more leading up to the festival. For now just do your best not to drool on your keyboard.

Yes!!!!
My initial reaction was envy and a thought "Why can't we get films that good..?"
But then I realized that even though we don't get the big names we might get equally good movies or even better ones :). That being said I just bought a mighty bunch of tickets to my local film festival in Espoo that takes place at the end of August.
Also you might not know that Espoo is in Finland.
Nice lineup.
There are a ton of movies on this list I would love to see, and am looking forward to upon their eventual public release. I really hope that the end of this year lives up to my expectations.
The TIFF owes me a new keyboard.
The Conspirator looks awesome! I can't wait for the screening. There's more information on the film here, check it out! http://www.theamericanfilmcompany.com/films/detail/the-conspirator
It's a good thing you have already seen some of these at Cannes!
If the New York Film Festival gets films this good, I'll be really happy. I really want to see Black Swan.

You're travelling all the way to Toronto for Canada's largest movie festival and you're not going to see "Score: A Hockey Musical". It's opening TIFF Brad, what gives?
Planning on seeing an midnight madness showings?
Couldn't pick a better year to begin working at TIFF!
John! Anyway, long list includes
Another Year
Black Swan
The Conspirator
The Housemaid
The King's Speech
Little White Lies
Miral
Potiche
Tamara Drewe
You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger
After a dismal summer, it is now time for adults to take back the theaters and this line-up is going to make it fun. I really hope "The Conspirator" picks up a distributor while at TIFF.
and, you realize Brad that this is only about one sixth of the programming at the Festival. Five movies a day will get you about 40 in the time you're there, but you'll kill yourself trying to see that many. Still, it's nice to get a jump on the fall…
yeah, don't try to do the 5 per day…. it's suicide. I get tired on 4 in a day. Stick with 3.
See you guys there! (although we won't know it)
