The First 'Iron Man 2' Trailer is Here
Iron Man, War Machine and Whiplash attack your senses

I don't think I need to say much to get you to hit play on this one as Paramount has just released the first official trailer for Iron Man 2, which will be hitting theaters attached to Sherlock Holmes on Christmas Day.
The film reunites director Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. as the world is now aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces.

back of my head just exploded. pure awesomeness, especially rourke. he looks like he'll be a great villain.
It's a little early to say if this will be as good as the first but it sure as hell looks like it could be from the two and a half minutes of it I just saw.
I also had a slight nerdgasm seeing Iron Man and War Machine together. I've known it was coming since the first one, but to actually see it… AWESOME.
Wow…..this looks fantastic. I was so worried when I heard Rourke would have a Russian accent because I figured it would be horrendously over-the-top, but it sounds like he has it down perfect. Downey Jr. looks amazing as always, and apparently Don Cheadle knows how to just sit there and not say anything.
One of the better action movie trailers I've seen in quite some time.
at the end where iron man and war machine are throwing it down with those other robots, didnt they look like the big robot stark fights at the end of the fiirst movie ? i dunno but looks like war machine is going to steal the spotlight in this one, cant wait!!!
Except for Rourke I didn't think it looked that good. It looks like they're really over-expanding on the narcissistic but awesome-dude persona of Stark. I guess subtlety was never really on their agenda though.

Should we be worried that the film showcased Mickey Rourke's surprisingly amazing Russian accent but not a peep out of Scarlet Johansson's? It looks amazing but I was wondering if anyone else was paying attention to that.
I feel about this movie about the same as teenie boppers with Twilight. Is it May 7 yet?

Looks good. But they're turning Stark into an insufferable wanker. I'm getting the feeling that I might be going for Rourke.
And this trailer needs more Rockwell.
i haven't been this excited by a trailer since the first iron man and mickey rourke looks like he'll be a great villian this will be one of the best movies of 2010 why can't may 7th come now

Hey, Brad, shouldn't this be considered Breaking News, or did I miss it? I think just think that the red Breaking News banner is great. Anyway, I think that this looks like TONS of fun. I can't wait. 2010 has the potential to be a fantastic year for the blockbuster.
@Murdock: Good call, you're right. I was heading out the door and had just enough time to get the trailer up and it completely slipped my mind.
Will it be good, or will it be bad? Only time will tell. But right now, time says this looks freakin sweet!

I'm not going to be like everyone else. It looked pretty good, but it wasn't that impressive, but it was the first trailer. I'm not 100% sold. I like how Mickey Rourke looks.

Those cars blowing up near the end of the trailer reminded me of the chase scene through Gotham in TDK.
However, this looks awesome and I can't wait to see it.

I Just noticed something!
Through out the trailer, i saw iron man with the circle shaped heart, but i remember that they showed it to be the Triangle Shaped Heart… I first thought it must have just been a hoax about the Triangle heart, Untill i saw the end of the trailer, if you look closely enough, you can see the Triangle Shaped Heart!
Maybe Whip Lash destroyed his other suit!

This looks ok…I thought the first one was very good because it brought something new to the action genre, this one seems to be too similar to the first one.
Either way, Inception is going to wipe the floor all over iron man 2.

You are correct about the different shaped energy chest. In the comic, Stark creates several versions of the suit. That particular one lasted a long time in the comics. There was also the silver and red suit, black stealth, deep sea, deep space and a host of others.
This looks like it will be a fun ride.
This one will probably be the best of the month of may. I am really looking forward to it. Shrek 4 looks just awful.

This was already my most anticipated for 2010 (just ahead of TRON: Legacy and Shutter Island), and now that this trailer has come out, the five month wait is gonna be unbearable.
