You forgot the country singer and co-star of all the Smokey and the Bandit movies, Jerry Reed, died sept 1, 08, of lung cancer. Also, Eartha Kitt, who just died on xmas day…very sad

For me there are a couple of really big name omissions from this list of notable entertainers to pass during 2008, the big one is the legendary Richard Widmark (24 March 2008, 93), also Suzanne Pleshette, Mel Ferrer & Anita Page (silent & early talkies actress).

You forgot to add Leonard Rosenman to this list. Incredible that a two-time Oscar winning composer can be overlooked. The score for Barry Lyndon is one of the best ever (even though it was an adaptation).
