Remembering those we lost...

For the past two years I have started doing a recap of a select group of notable names we lost from the entertainment world (and a few others) over the past year. This is by no means an all-encompassing list, but I think it's a pretty good representation of the cream of the crop when it comes to the people that left us in 2008, and I must say, we lost A LOT of big names this year... • David Lee

You forgot to add Leonard Rosenman to this list. Incredible that a two-time Oscar winning composer can be overlooked. The score for Barry Lyndon is one of the best ever (even though it was an adaptation).

Rest in peace to those who have passed.

  • Garry C Willard

For me there are a couple of really big name omissions from this list of notable entertainers to pass during 2008, the big one is the legendary Richard Widmark (24 March 2008, 93), also Suzanne Pleshette, Mel Ferrer & Anita Page (silent & early talkies actress).
