'The Dark Knight Rises' Poster is Here
Buildings will fall and the Knight will Rise
Wouldn't it figure, the poster for The Dark Knight Rises would debut while I am in the theater watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but I am home now so let the posting commence.
Inspired by the lofty topography of Inception, but careful not to giveaway any details, Warner Bros. gives us the following teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises, which hits theaters next summer on July 20, 2012. Also, if you like what you see stay tuned as the first teaser trailer for the film is set to debut in front of Harry Potter this Friday.

The Dark Knight Rises is the third Batman film in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and will hit theaters on July 20, 2012. The cast includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Marion Cotillard and Liam Neeson. Top-notch teaser poster.
All in all, this is a good week for movie-lovers with trailers for The Dark Knight Rises, John Carter, and Sherlock Holmes: The Game of Shadows all being released in the next couple of days.
how was the trailer brad?
They didn't show it.
Poster is ver symbolic; its shown from a low angle showing the "bat" rising above a crumbling city. Can't wait to see this.
what trailers did they show, and how did they look?
Trailers typically aren't shown before advance screenings.
Nothing special, only Happy Feet Two and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
I'm a little underwhelmed by this years film offerings, but next year is going to be fantastic! From January through December! I'm predicting a record breaking 2012.
Excellent poster. It seems that most of the Chris Nolan films have super slick posters.

The colors of the posters for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight seemed to be an indication of the visual style that those two films had, so perhaps this this gives some kind of lead as to how Rises will look.
You guys know the teaser trailer for this is online right?
Anyone notice what looks like a face in the window on the left side? Maybe Bane?
Actually to me it looks like the Superman Logo on the left side but for all I know its just a piece of crap falling…then again…

i hope this one is all about the bat, i liked that bale had to take the back seat as heath did his thing as joker, but it would be a crime to repeat that again, i mean, at the end of the day i enjoy this franchise because of Bruce Wayne.
