Three more images from Empire's latest The Dark Knight Rises photo spread have been scanned and uploaded online courtesy of Coming Soon giving you some not-so-revealing looks at the film if you've been paying close enough attention to the set images and videos that have made their way online.

The reports also includes some quotes from Christian Bale talking about his co-stars.

On Anne Hathaway who plays Catwoman: "In many ways, she has the hardest job. There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne's role as being the toughest job of any of us."

On Tom Hardy who plays Bane: He is "a phenomenal actor. I like working with him a great deal. He goes the whole hog. I know that Bane has been seen in movies before. But, in my eyes, Tom is essentially creating Bane for the first time so there's great freedom for him to be able to do so."

On Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays Gotham beat cop, John Blake: "Joseph is a very intriguing guy... He's somebody who truly seems to love acting. He's a good, smart guy. He did a very good job in the movie."

I've included the two other images directly below.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel this movie will be ever better than the dark knight?

    • JayRam

Yep, 7 billion people in the world and you're the only one. Come on. Think, McFly!

It will be hard to beat the previous one. But Tom Hardy was phenomenal in the movie Warrior. That said, he will be seen in this movie with a mask on most of the time and unfortunately that will cover his expressions, wish there was a way around that.

Adu, the article in Empire addresses this. Nolan describes Hardy's ability to convey emotions with a "stillness" and most specifically rage.

    Its going to be epic....

This is some exciting stuff. I can't wait to see the IMAX prologue in a few weeks as well as the first official trailer. I gotta pick up a copy of this issue soon.

  • Ben

Looks amazing! The last photo is spine tingling!

  • The Jackal

The fight between Batman & Bane is going to be epic, I can just feel it. Looks like Nolan is going to go out with a memorable bang.

    Thems the facts

SO PUMPED FOR THIS... I think I am going to go to the IMAX for mission impossible 4 to see the 6 mins in front. A bit confused on whether or not the Navy Pier Theatre or Lincoln Shire in Chicago will have it. Brad isn't it only going to be on select IMAX screens? Something to do with what kind of film they use. How can I tell which one will have the prologue? Any news will be well appreciated.

It's only going to be shown at IMAX theaters that show 70mm films, not the digital ones that are in most multiplexes. Paul Franklin, the visual effects supervisor for Nolan's films, tweeted this morning about the prologue's showings. Somebody on there asked him about the Navy Pier Theatre and whether that one showed the films in 70mm, and he confirmed that it does. According to him, that is where Nolan and the rest of the film crew watched the IMAX dailies for The Dark Knight a few years ago when they were shooting in Chicago.

So, yes. If you see that MI4 is playing there, you'll see the prologue for TDKR.

I am very excited to see this film! Nolan is a genius filmmaker, Batman is my fave superhero and Tom Hardy is an incredible actor. Bale is already deservedly critically acclaimed, so he and Tom together should be spectacular.
