The Beauty of Pixar
COMMENTS
500 scenes, 11 films, seven minutes
I didn't watch this until just now, but it is quite impressive as Leandro Copperfield (the same guy that made the Tarantino vs. Coens video I posted earlier this year) took 500 hand-selected scenes and made a tribute to Pixar using all 11 of their films: Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up and Toy Story 3.
The music used is "Intro" by The XX, "La Vie En Rose" by Louis Armstrong, "Down to Earth" and "You've Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman.
Any fan of Pixar is sure to enjoy.

simply stunning
Beautiful! I love Pixar. I grew up on it.
I'm an 18 year old "college boy". The first two "Toy Story"'s came out when I was 3 and 8 years old. "Toy Story 3" came out the summer before I departed for college. Just like Andy, I was a child during the first two movies, and just like Andy, I was getting ready to go away to college during the third one. So you can imagine how touched I was when I was watching Toy Story 3.
Pixar, and especially the Toy Story trilogy, will always have a warm spot in my heart.
I've been wanting to put something together with the XX song. I'm glad this guy beat me to it though. Its perfect.
"Down to Earth" is by Peter Gabriel and Thomas Newman, performed by Gabriel
Awesome.
Pixar knows how to tickle the soft spots in us :-)
Oh, and the one comment proves the point also about Toy Story 3 (he grew up with the other 2 toy story's) that's why it made a billion dollars and is considered for best picture "HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON" is still the better animated film of this year.. IF YOU LOOK AT TOY STORY 3 as a STAND ALONE FILM not as a touching ending to a trilogy.
I beg to disagree.
but next time you're at a pixar movie take a look around as I did the last 3 I saw (as I say I don't hate pixar they make great animation but Kids are not the target audience) from the music choices to the actual content to the animation itself.. but back to the point, take a look around see how many people are with kids (very few) go again if you feel it's great and look around again.. it will be the same result. and as for postings look at prior to more adults are excited for a pixar film than any child is.. I was with one childand an audience fill of them at the child appropriate Yogi bear movie and the Kung Fu Panda trailer came on they were hyped… and let me guess most Adults who love pixar films put down or would rather not see the other animation that comes out or finds it not as interesting or good of a story (because the other animation is aimed at kids) sometimes you luck out like Disney's Tangled, and many other Disney titles to be truthful can hit both markets dead on..LIKE i said Pixar is great and works it's butt off on great animation and stories.. but they know to put the aim at the adult rather than the child and hope they bring the children.. theatre's full of adults don't lie. Look at the Incredibles -really that was a childrens story (no- it was a great story) but it wasn't a childrens story that was obvious right from the opening. I love the debate of this stuff so if the opinion is different (great-we can't all agree and thank goodness for that how boring would this world be).. but with all the animated films coming out next year it will be once again the Pixar one that all adults will love to see, makes them FEEL like a kid but it's not aimed at kids. watch the marketing and humour for CARS 2.. let me know if anything other than the bright colours and talking vehicles are interesting to the kids.
Awesome!
Wow, that was great! This really reminded me how much I love Pixar (not just Toy Story, but their other movies). Though I do like Cars the least.
