Teaser Trailer for 'Alvin and the Chipmunks – Chipwrecked!'
Because you asked for it
Okay, maybe you specifically — yes you, the one reading this sentence right now — didn't ask for Alvin and the Chipmunks – Chipwrecked! the third film in the now lucrative Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise, but someone did because this franchise has made nearly $437 million domestically after two films and over $804 million worldwide. So someone has to be blamed, if it's you… own it… have no shame.
That said, here it is, the teaser trailer for the third film in which the vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes are turning a luxury cruise liner into their personal playground, until they become 'chipwrecked' on a remote island. As the 'Munks and Chipettes try various schemes to find their way home, they accidentally discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems. Jason Lee is once again collecting a paycheck on this one and he is joined by fellow members of the "I don't care it's a job" club David Cross, Jenny Slate, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Amy Poehler, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate.
The film makes its way to theaters on December 16, but don't count on me seeing it. I haven't seen the first one or the second one so to jump right in on the third one would most likely find me completely lost. The plot wouldn't make any sense. The talking wild rodents would haunt my dreams. So, as you can see, it's best I stay away.

When in doubt, go with Holmes and Watson over Alvin, Simon and Theo.
Brilliant Titanic piss take though.
Honestly, not the worst cast I've ever seen. Just people wanting a nice check, or do you think the script could be… dare I say it… good?
I guess you are right on the second guess! The critics who will soil their shorts and DIE! Will have no part in the success of this series of movies. It will be word of mouth that fires up this juggernaught of chipmunkery. Two times before they claimed a bomb. Only to have it hit the fan and come back at them! The movies that were made, put local people to work! I would like that nice check too!
