Tatum to Play Undercover Cop?
Yeah, this is a bad idea from the start
It thought it was a bit of a stretch casting Paul Walker in Running Scared but he surprised me and I turned out really liking his performance and the movie. However, I don't see New Line's next risk working out nearly as well as they have Channing Tatum set to star as an undercover cop in an untitled action pic. Tatum is not a good actor, not at all.
The story centers on a New York City cop who must infiltrate the underground world of free running, known as Parkour, to bust a seemingly unstoppable gang of bank robbers.
New Line picked up the pitch from T. J. Scott and Kevin Lund on Wednesday.
Tatum gained little girls' respect with Step Up and will next be seen in Stop-Loss and The Battle in Seattle.

Heya everyone. D866 here.
Channing Tatum has potential. I really think he can blossom into some really great acting skill's. Every actor has to do his cop movie. Mel Gibson 'Lethal Weapon' – Al Pacino 'Seripico' and etc; Every actor also has his fault's. Believe me, I saw Step up. Waste Of Time and cash.
I did see his potential in Coach Carter. A Movie soon forgotten. Have a Lil' faith Brad. ^_~
That's the word fro D866
Hey D866, I will say I liked Coach Carter, but man I don't see Tatum having any potential. After seeing Step Up (twice! argh) I am convinced he will amount to very little. However, I don't mind flip-flopping. Paul Walker did fantastic in Running Scared and if Tatum can do the same thing then great, it never hurts to have another good actor and I will eat my words.
Yep. Tatum hasn't hit that one streak. Once he doe's, BAM. You'll see some great potential.
Paul Walker was excellent in Running Scared, I really enjoyed seeing another side of him.
Yo Brad. This movie I just saw with Channing Tatum might change your whole outlook on him.
Called "A Guide To Recognizing your Saints" – Very good film, if you have any spare time, pick it up. : )
