Tarantino Takes On Jason Voorhees?
IGN reports news on Tarantino's involvement in a new Friday flick.
It has been a while since the rumors around Quentin Tarantino's next film were spit up around the net. With the fan's getting excited over Tarantino's Kill Bill series the writer/director seemed to be peppering the news wires with new film ideas and IGN FilmForce is back with another one, but they seem quite confident in this bit of news.
IGN is reporting that Tarantino is in final negotiations to write and direct the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie, an all new Friday the 13th for New Line.
They dispell the rumor that Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash will be hitting the screen anytime soon, if at all, and that the next film is almost guaranteed to be the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie, and it will be a co-venture between New Line and Paramount Pictures and maybe getting underway as early as this year.
New Line took over the Friday franchise and spit out the horrible films Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X, but it seems they will be going back to Jason's roots by involving Paramount Pictures and getting that studio back in the Voorhees picture.
