'Sweeney Todd' Actor Finds Life in Twilight's 'New Moon'
Will there be any chances for him to sing "Johanna"?
Jamie Campbell-Bower played Anthony (pictured right) in Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd and has now found himself under the watchful eye of many fangirls as BBC News got the actor to spill the beans on his involvement in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Campbell-Bower has revealed he will play Volturi leader Caius saying it is "very exciting" and "Shooting has already started, and I'm going over in June." He had not heard of the character and admits, "I hadn't read the books before. But it's a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year."
The Brit actor goes on to say he knows of additional casting but can't name names outside of saying the rumors online are all false. He does appear to be ready for the spotlight although he seems to know where most of it will be shining, "I doubt I'll get the same sort of adulation as Robert – but it's always nice when people recognise you for your work."
New Moon is currently set for release on November 20 from Summit with Chris Weitz directing. Campbell-Bower joins a cast made up of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone, Dakota Fanning, Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman.

I wanted to kill him everytime he started singing 'I see you… Jo-haaaa-nnaaaaaa!!!', and he sang that like three times in the whole movie!
Sweeney Todd was a good movie, but dear God, that music was boring!
So excited to see this fail. I just hope he says "I feel you" so I can finish by singing 'Johanna'. It'll be great to watch at home on a torrent site as well.
I pray that he does NOT sing!

Lol, just joking. But "Sweeney Todd" is still unarguably amazing, both music and storyline. Any rebuttal shall be met with stout denial. :P
Anyway, about this casting… Summit sure is pushing the pace of production pretty hard if they're still casting after the filming's been going on for a few weeks. Do you think we'll have a teaser trailer by May, like we did with the last movie?

I could buy Campbell-B as Alec, MAYBE as Demitri, but what the ever-living CRUD is he doing as Caius?!
I could agree about the alec thing. I always thought caius as a mean grumpy millions of years old tired vampire that shouldn't even be able to be called an awe so powerful volturi leader. I could see Campbell as aro maybe if you dye his hair white. Campbell could pull off the weird personality of aro. no offence to aro lovers.
