Hilary Swank starred in the 2007 bust Freedom Writers and is looking at a 50/50 chance at success with the upcoming biblical themed thriller The Reaping, but she is already looking at more projects for her future. Variety is reporting that she is currently developing a remake of Patrice Leconte's Intimate Strangers for Paramount Pictures with an eye to star and produce.

Oddly the film that is being remade is only three years old and was released under Paramount's old Paramount Classics banner in 2004 when it grossed $2.1 million at the box. The film tells the story of Anna who ends up confessing her marriage problems to a financial adviser named William Faber. Touched by her distress, somewhat excited as well, Faber does not have the courage to tell her that he is not a psychiatrist. From appointment to appointment, a strange ritual is created between them. William is moved by the young woman and fascinated to hear the secrets that no man ever heard.

Kelly Fremon is penning the script.

Following The Reaping Swank will next be seen in P.S., I Love You opposite 300 star Gerard Butler for Warner Bros. Pictures.
