Sutherland in 'The Sentinel'
'24' star on for suspense pic.
Kiefer Sutherland has become a Monday night staple with his hit television series "24", but that doesn't mean he is giving up on feature films as he has now made a deal to star alongside Michael Douglas and Km Basinger in the political thriller, The Sentinel.
The film is being produced by Michael Douglas and Outlook Pictures with S.W.A.T. helmer, Clark Johnson, on board to direct.
Once a Secret Service agent is murdered, another (Sutherland) becomes a suspect and is caught up in what may be a plot to assassinate the president. The twist lies in the fact that the suspected agent is involved in a secretive affair with the first lady.
I can only imagine Douglas will fall, once again, into the role of President while Basinger will be his first lady.
The pic is expected to begin lensing in Toronto this May.
