We saw this coming since Grisham finally took it seriously again

We all saw this coming after John Grisham actually took some time to write a book and released the nonfiction book "The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town" on us. The book has been set up at Warner Independent Pictures and George Clooney and Grant Heslov's production company Smoke House.

David Gordon Green is set to write and adapt the book. Warner Independent also recently snatched up Green's Snow Angels after its premiere at Sundance. That film stars Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell. It centers on a small-town waitress (Beckinsale) has suffered through a tumultuous relationship with her estranged husband (Rockwell).

Grisham's "Innocent Man," which was published in October by Doubleday, tells the true story of Ron Williamson, a man wrongly convicted of murder who spent more than 10 years on death row in Oklahoma. WIP and Smoke House bought rights to the book in December.
