Studio Oscar Sites Updated with Scripts and Such
Download Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina' script now
Studios are ramping up to begin their major Oscar push and as a result it means they are setting up their "For Your Consideration" sites which gives Academy members (and us too) a chance to get more information on each film, what categories they are pushing as well as an occasional read of the script and a listen to the score.
Several sites recently updated their pages and as you can see from the image above the WALL•E push is full steam ahead. My favorite bit of news is the addition of the script to Vicky Cristina Barcelona to the Weinstein Co.'s Highlights site.

I think all these studios are either really hopeful or really lazy by submitting their movies in all categories. Seriously, specifically listing High School Musical 3 in every above the line category, including Best Picture? Are they high? They possibly have a shot at an Original Song nomination, though the competition in that category this year is getting interesting. If this were the Tonys, they might get a nod for choreography, but while the movie's an unmitigated commercial success, it's not Oscar calibre.
