Streep Makes Deal With 'The Devil'
Meryl slides on Prada
The Hollywood Reporter lets us know that Meryl Streep has signed on to star in David Frankel's comedy The Devil Wears Prada for Fox 2000.
The film will be based on Lauren Weisberger's best-selling novel about a young woman who goes to New York to work for an all-powerful magazine editor named Miranda Priestly (Streep). Weisberger did a stint as an assistant to Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
There was no word on when filming is expected to begin.
Frankel is probably best known as a television director as he has helmed such shows as "Entourage", "Band of Brothers" and "Sex and the City".
