Get Fit! 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Casting Breakdown

Are you fit, independent and have a good sense of humor?

Star Wars: Episode VII Casting BreakdownA Star Wars: Episode VII casting breakdown has been revealed over at Bleeding Cool and they've verified the following descriptions are for the film's lead characters and they stress these descriptions are 100% confirmed.

So what's it take to get into the new Star Wars movie? Well, for five of the seven roles you damned well better be "fit" and it never hurts to be good looking.

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.

Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn't need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

Forty something male, fit, military type.

Thirty something male, intellectual. Apparently doesn't need to be fit.

I couldn't help but laugh at these descriptions because I can't say I've ever described anyone in my life in a similar fashion, but I think once I review Episode VII once it's released in 2015, I'll save these descriptions for my review.

As a reminder, J.J. Abrams is directing with a screenplay from Michael Arndt.

No call for American-Swedish sexually frustrated 14 year old. That counts me out.

    • Hudsucker

Although which 14 year old isn't sexually frustrated?

"Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn't need to be particularly fit."
So I guess that means Harrison Ford is getting replaced?

  • SmartFilm

I laughed at this casting call. I know they're claiming that this is TOTALLY LEGIT but I have my doubts. If, however, it is a legitimate casting call, I think it spells trouble for the production.

"A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident."

*Spoiler* C-Tates will be in this.

  • GregDinskisk

Thank god I'm not traditionally good looking.

    • Tony Lee

I always knew that someday my traditional good looks would be my downfall.

"Ha! I knew I shouldn't work out ever, not eat too much, wear ray bans, slightly spike my hair, and wear ironic clothing!!!! Now I'm cast in Star Wars!"

        Me in two months.

  • John W. Creasy

But will Jabba the Hutt's son have to be fit?

  • jaybob

Damn. There's no chance for me at all!

  • Django

It honestly doesn't matter what the actors look like because you won't be able to see them behind the lens flare anyway.

  • kash mention at all for racial ethnicity...i guess that's definitely a good thing...diversity ftw!
