UPDATED: 'Star Trek' Clippage and Austin Premiere Buzz
Surprise premiere inspires online frenzy
UPDATE: A second clip via Yahoo has been added.
Studios don't want you to watch the whole of their movies online, but a few clips here and there of pivotal and entertaining moments won't matter… right?
After what I believe had to have been 20 minutes or so of Watchmen was made available online I can only wonder if Paramount will follow in a similar fashion with Star Trek, which had a sneak premiere in Austin at the Alamo Draft House yesterday to rave reviews and standing ovations as those that saw it rushed out of the theater to get their reviews online (check out video from the premiere to the right).
Today two clips from Trek arrived online, the first titled "Shot of Love" has debuted at MTV.com and features Kirk (Chris Pine) hitting on Uhura (Zoe Saldana) in a bar, which results in a bit of a ruckus. The second is just below that and is titled "Disease and Danger" featuring Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy. Watch below or wait until May 8 and you will get to see the same clips with an actual story around it.
However, if you do decide to skip it, or are just interested in a little Star Trek inspired fun, check out Eminem's new video "We Made You" right here.
