Stallone's 'Expendables' Updates Including Set Pics and Brittany Murphy is Aboard

The cast list on Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables is becoming a ridiculous list of B-list film stars as Brittany Murphy and David Zayas are the latest to join the cast not to mention the casting of mixed martial arts stars Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and his twin brother Antonio Rogerio Nogueira as announced by Moviehole the other day.
The film was written, will be directed and stars Stallone along with Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture and follows a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.
There's no word on what roles the Nogueira brothers were offered, but The Hollywood Reporter says Murphy will play Mickey Rourke's girlfriend, a singer. The part calls for her to perform a musical number. Zayas will play the dictator.

In other Expendables news, several pictures from the Brazilian set showed up at Spoiler TV on Tuesday such as the one previewed above. On top of that, actor Eric Roberts is updating from the set via some anonymous blog and the set publicist, Sheryl Main, is updating fans via Twitter.
Is that enough for you? Expendables will be released by Lionsgate on April 23, 2010.

The casting is kinda funny.
But I don't mind at all. Nothing wrong with a good old all out action flick.
I grew up with things like Rambo and Commando and never really grew out of it.
CANT WAIT. B-list me arse, hope he finishes this then straight into Rambo 5 and Rocky 7.b Oooh yeah
I gotta admit I enjoy seeing these older style action movies and such happening again, things like Rambo and Rocky.

bruce willis is also in the film expendables as a cameo too.the film which is out now called inglorious basterds written by tarentino was the film stallone was supposed to of starred in but tarantino wanted brad pitt at the last minute,stallone decided to do his own style move and thank god too,the tarantino movie looks laughable and cheap.cannot wait for expendables
