Stacy Keach to Play the Villain in 'Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For'

This guy is 'pure evil'

Stacy Keach is Wallenquist in Sin City 2Finally, seven years and countless rumors later, a sequel to the original film is in production. Filming on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is underway and directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller continue to add to the cast of their next black-and-white, green screen outing adding Stacy Keach to the cast where he'll play mob boss Wallenquist.

Wallenquist, according to Miller, is "the one man who can't be redeemed in Sin City. He is pure evil."

Keach joins several new faces added to the cast, including Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Meloni, Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, Eva Green and Julia Garner while Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba are all returning for a second go 'round.

The film is set for an October 4 release.

As much as I found the first Sin City an interesting film in the way it was made, I can't say it's a film that continues to appeal to my curiosity and I can't say this sequel has me all that excited. How about you? Do you have any kind of lasting memories of the first film to the point it's one you return to often or one that has you anxious to see more? [Variety]

    Definitely looking forward to it.
The vision of the first Sin City is undeniably unique, ambitious and eclectic.
Curiosity hopes in the growing ensemble cast and the addition of Monsieur William Monahan to the writing credits.

I do think the first one has a unique quality to it, and am quite intrigued by the sequel consider the cast involved. Actually I am looking forward to its trailer as well as one for the 300 prequel. Personally, these are the movies that fit my idea of enjoyable 'escapist' fare rather than ones like Die-Hard and the Fast & Furious franchise.

Here's a sequel I'm looking forward to along with Fast & Furious 6, The Raid 2, and Machete Kills.
