Spock's Dad is Ben Cross
Sarek has a name...
Spock's father Sarek is a well known character in the "Star Trek" universe, and throughout the years, from the original series through 1991's Star Trek VI he was played by Mark Lenard, but a new actor will take over the role in the upcoming Star Trek as Ben Cross takes on the role.
Cross is best known as the lead character, Harold Abrahams in Chariots of Fire, outside of that his work has been rather limited.
Cross will be paired with Winona Ryder who plays Spock's human mother Amanda Grayson and Zachary Quinto who plays the pair's son Spock.
Filming is underway and set for a Christmas Day 2008 release.
