Sony PSP Movie Titles Now Available!

We have added 10 titles for the hot-selling handheld.

In honor of the recent release of the highly-anticipated Sony handheld gaming system, the PlayStation Portable, or better known as the PSP, we have begun adding the movie titles supported on the system, and as there have been many announced only ten have any kind of release date or cover art information available and those ten have been added to our database and can be found by accessing the all-new DVD Central located here.

The Sony PSP hit the North American marketplace on March 24th with four titles being released on April 19, including XXX, Hellboy, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Once Upon A Time in Mexico, with additional titles to be released monthly thereafter.

Movies on the Universal Media Disc (UMD) will be produced in 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and encoded using advanced AVC compression, which provides the type of picture quality consumers have come to expect from SPHE DVDs. For added protection, a lightweight disc sleeve is also utilized, along with advanced encryption technology for content security.
