So Here's the Mike Myers of Zombie's 'Halloween 2'
You know, the movie he said he'd never make...
If, like me, you thought Rob Zombie's remake/re-imagining of Halloween was a sloppy mess of blood, screaming, nudity and trailer trash then you have very little interest in his upcoming sequel which is currently working with the title H2 although Zombie has alluded to the fact he would like something a little more substantial such as H2: The Devil Walks Among Us, which was included in one of his blog posts until quickly deleted.
Although Zombie is on record saying he would never want to remake a movie or do a sequel to a movie he is now hard at work on the sequel to his very own remake. Back in August of 2007, as a matter of fact, when asked if he would do a sequel to his Halloween Zombie told Moviefreak.com point blank, "No. I did what I wanted to do. I came in and made a movie, [made] what I thought was a self-contained film, and now I am walking away." I guess when he walks away he walks in circles because on August 28 we get a new Halloween with Rob at the helm and in advance we get our first look at Michael Myers via Zombie's MySpace Gallery. good article, i thought the remake was ridiculous as well.
MONEY MONEY MONEY……MONEY!!!! Its a rough time for the economy so fuck it a paycheck is a paycheck I'm not going to hate on him for it! And if it weren't for remakes or sequels there would be no horror industry and those of us who are morbid fans of cinema violence must take what we can get! WHERE ARE YOU ELI ROTH? YOUR NO ACTOR!
Myers Not Meyers. I don't mean to pick but it is in your headline.
I read this entire piece to my 14 year old granddaughter and she thinks it is a hilarious as I do. We especially loved the part, " I guess when he walks away he walks in circles…" Very cleverly written, and describing perfectly the state of the modern cinema where remakes and sequels abound.
Another disappointment just waiting to happen … Sure he wants to reimage the franchise, but that doesnt mean you have to butcher it, It's my personal opinion that Rob Zombie secretly hates Halloween and he purposely thinks of new and inventive ways to destroy the Halloween name. No one can suck that bad.
Zombie's just someone to ignore, like Uwe Boll for instance.
Take no notice, don't watch and you won't be disappointed.
