The first footage from Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds was teased on Entertainment Tonight and YouTube brings us the footage that premiered tonight. The official trailer will debut on the entertainment news show tomorrow night. No word on when it will make its way to the Internet but for now here's the footage and stay tuned as the trailer will likely somehow find its way online just as this footage has.

Tarantino is expected to bring Inglourious Basterds to Cannes this year and then to theaters on August 21.

Inglourious Basterds begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.

Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own…

Wow, Brad Pitt's acting looks just terrible. I don't have anything against him usually but that was just awful. Could he be anymore dead in the eyes?

yeah his acting in this is questionable, but i wont base it off of something ET decided to throw together. plus i've read the script and the story only is worth the price of admission. and adnan since you asked in the script aldo raine comes from the south, hence the accent.
