Smith Tapped as 'Thief'
Another TV adaptation
Can't you just leave television alone? I guess not, as Will Smith has now been attached to star in a feature film adaptation of the television series "It Takes a Thief" for Universal Pictures.
The series starred Robert Wagner and ran from 1968 to 1970. The update will star Smith as a charming rogue who is blackmailed by the government into doing covert larceny for the good of his country. Pic will put the professional thief in the employ of the CIA.
The duo behind Four Brothers, David Elliot and Paul Lovett, are set to write the script.
