Brad Anderson made an impactful impression on audiences with the 2004 oddity The Machinist starring Christian Bale as a paranoid insomniac, but until now it was questioned what his next endeavor would be. Well, he went out and found himself a film and attached a fleet of names as Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Kate Mara, Eduardo Noriega, Ben Kingsley and Thomas Kretschmann will all star in the crime thriller Trans-Siberian for Anderson.

Anderson wrote the script with Will Conroy and it revolves around an American couple (Harrelson and Morton) traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway from China to Moscow. When they meet another couple (Mara and Noriega), the result is a train ride full of deception and murder. Kingsley and Kretschmann will play Russian police officers pursuing the couples.

The film carries a budget north of $15 million and will begin shooting Dec. 11 in Beijing, Russia and Lithuania.
