Scott and Brody Join Smith's 'Dicks'
Who ordered the Shit Bandit?
Kevin Smith is lining up his next film and he has just cast a Shit Bandit and an abrasive detective as The Hollywood Reporter announces Seann William Scott and Adam Brody have joined Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan in the comedy A Couple of Dicks, which Smith will begin shooting on Monday in New York.
The film follows a maverick cop (Willis) and his partner (Morgan) who, while tracking a valuable stolen baseball card, tangle with a memorabilia-obsessed gangster and rescue a Mexican beauty who holds the key to millions in laundered drug money.
Scott plays a thief known as the Shit Bandit for the souvenirs he leaves at his robberies. Brody is an abrasive detective not happy to be working with Willis and Morgan.
Robb and Mark Cullen penned the script which Warner Bros. is distributing, which means A Couple of Dicks marks Smith's first feature film using a script he did not write.
Warner Bros. has already set a February 26, 2010 release date for the film.

I've always been a fan of Kevin Smith as a person and a storyteller but nothing since "Clerks" has really connected with me in terms of his films. I think this might be the one to do it. The cast sounds great so far and with Smith being given just directoral duty instead of writer-director it seems like he might be able to focus himself on one angle and hopefully pull it all together.
Also, Sean William Scott as "The Shit Bandit" sounds like downright brilliance in casting.
Wanna bet Seann William Scott will either have a mullet or some sort of white trash facial hair?
