Sarsgaard Suffers a 'Small Tragedy'
Another play adaptation on its way to the big screen.
Peter Sarsgaard and Tony Goldwyn are set to star in the big screen adaptation of Craig Lucas' award-winning play Small Tragedy reports Production Weekly.
The play is described as a play within a movie where not everything is as it appears. When Nathaniel (Goldwyn), the director of a fringe play in London, starts auditioning and casting "Oedipus Rex" no one suspects that he is the indie movie director of cult status who mysteriously disappeared from the scene a few years ago.
As the cast members go through rehearsals and get to know each other they learn a few surprising truths about the nature of love, loss, friendship, betrayal and forgiveness. Sarsgaard will play Hakija, a young Bosnian economics student who turns out to be the group's one gifted actor.
Filming is expected to being in London in the middle of April.
