Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams Set for 'Blue Valentine'
Are we looking at a potential indie award sensation?
I smell an indie film that will soon be making waves at film festivals and perhaps tearing up the award seasons as Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams are already filming the indie drama Blue Valentine in New York and Pennsylvania. Mike Vogel, John Doman and Maryann Plunkett round out the cast.
The film, which was written by Derek Cianfrance, Cami Delavigne and Joey Curtis centers on a couple (Gosling and Williams) whose marriage is failing, and as their relationship hits the rocks, they recall better days. Cianfrance is directing.
William Morris Independent and Endeavor are co-repping U.S. distribution rights, and Hyde Park Intl. is selling international territories at the Cannes Film Festival.
Gosling is expected to be seen in All Good Things on July 24, a romance/mystery co-starring Kirsten Dunst, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kristen Wiig and Frank Langella, but considering it is a Weinstein Co. release that may change or not be promoted at all. Who knows with them?
Michelle Williams will next be seen in Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island and is then expected to play Charlotte Bronte in Bronte for writer/director Angela Workman.

this is a fantastic pairing though, could this be out in 2009?
Digression, but is Michelle Williams short enough to play Charlotte?
@Paolo: Silly you, you know that doesn't mean anything to casting directors. But Michelle is only 5'4". Anne Hathaway, 5'8", is going to play Judy Garland who was only 4'11".
This was the movie they postponed because of Heath's death. It is due out next year for now.
@Patricia:
True. Speaking of which, a) I was watching the last few minutes of A Star is Born 54, and it's freaky how Anne loooks like Judy in that movie. and b) Michelle Williams is a national treasure in the making so she needs to be cast more.
Where is the movie "All Good Things" with Ryan Gosling?So disappointed it's not out yet. Does anyone know the latest info on whats the holdup with this movie. We've been looking forward to it for a long time…….Thanks
