Byrne, Moss and Diddy make up the newcomers

I haven't reported once on the news Russell Brand was likely to bring his Forgetting Sarah Marshall British-rocker character, Aldous Snow back to the big screen because I actually didn't think it was possible, but Hollywood has proven me wrong once again as Entertainment Weekly reports Get Him to the Greek is set to begin filming this August for Universal Pictures and the principals are set.

Along with Brand, Jonah Hill will be returning, but this time as Aaron, a fresh-from-college insurance adjuster (Hill) who must accompany Snow to a concert at L.A.'s Greek Theater. Jonah Hill, of course, was in the first film but as Matthew the waiter and expectation would lead me to assume his role of Aaron will be slightly meatier. Joining the duo are Rose Byrne ("Damages"), Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men") and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.

Moss is set to play Daphne Binks, Aaron's girlfriend, while Byrne will play a promiscuous pop musician named Jackie Q, who may perform a duet with Snow. Diddy has been cast as Sergio.

Nicholas Stoller, who directed the first film, wrote and will direct Greek. He has also co-written such screenplays as Jim Carrey's Fun with Dick and Jane and Yes Man and rewrote Fox's upcoming Jack Black starrer Gulliver's Travels, which also stars Emily Blunt who coincidentally was originally rumored to have the Byrne role of Jackie Q in Greek.

Russel Brnd needs to go back to England and stay the hell out of movies!!! That dude is awful and he needs a haircut there I said it!

@Tyler C: Brand has gotten raves for Sarah Marshall and Bedtime Stories. He's brilliantly funny and a fresh face. He's a hot commodity. Get used to it.

@Sasha V: Have you seen his stand up? He is even less funny than his acting! If I saw that guy walking down the street I'd probably punch him in the face just to watch him suffer!

Russel Brand is amazing! I'm glad the world is now getting to see him rather than just us lucky Brits! This movie already sounds brilliant!

Brand is a talent vacuum. This coming from a thirtysomething brit, who as been unfortunate enough to watch him defile his TV screen for more than is humanely acceptable. his character in forgetting sarah marshall is almost identical to his UK television persona. He is the metrosexual man of the moment, nothing more, nothing less. I sincerely hope hollywood loses interest and we can let his career slowly die the death it deserves.
