Ruffalo Hits the 'Brass Wall'
Phoenix Pictures develops pic for Mark.
Variety is reporting that Phoenix Pictures has optioned the rights to New York Times reporter David Kocieniewski's crime novel The Brass Wall and will develop the story into a starring vehicle for Mark Ruffalo.
The story begins as an undercover cop (Ruffalo) infiltrates the Lucchesi crime family in an effort to solve the murder of a city firefighter, when he discovers the tipster was the son of a high-ranking police official.
Ruffalo will next be seen in the romantic-comedy Just Like Heaven opposite Reese Witherspoon followed by All the King's Men and Rumor Has It in December.
