ROS Journal (6/13/14): A Long Week

RopeofSilicon Film Journal

It has been a very long week and I'm thankful it's finally the weekend as I need a moment to relax. On top of everything I was able to get done this week I still have a review of Criterion's L'eclisse Blu-ray to write along with reviews of Snowpiercer and The Rover, all three of which I will have you next week along with my next Werner Herzog review, which will be Fata Morgana.

I will, however, say this about The Rover, ...

Def becoming my favorite part of the site.

It's been a good addition so far (I still need to go back and watch that Ebert video though).

      Thanks for reminding me!

Can't say the trailer for The Rover excited me but this is the second really positive thing i've heard about it today. Still buzzed for Snowpiercer, despite the wobbly reviews.

Been meaning to ask you this. Been trying to find someone to go toes with on a Box Office Draft whenever the next period begins and you seem like a solid contender. Interested?

It would of been an honour but I think i'm juiced in with Mr Hudsucker, unless he jilts me for someone younger and better looking. Thanks for thinking of me though.

Few men are better looking than you. Few.

Yeah but no one bests The Captain at arm wrestling. NO ONE!

Damn. I'll just look on Tinder.

I've definitely enjoyed reading these this week. Glad to hear The Rover is one to look forward to; it's supposed to get a wide release next week.

I wish Snowpiercer and The Rover would play in Florida this weekend. There isn't a single movie out near me that I give a crap about (besides those I've already seen).

    Yes I like this addition!

Live a little, Brad. Watch something bad next week. Like legendary monstrosity MAC & ME, readily available on YouTube.

My wife is out of town for two weeks beginning Tuesday, in that time the goal is to get two Best Movies entries completed, plus I started working on another bonus having to do with these Journal entries that I'm really excited about.

Look at Brad getting all excited and bringing new features our way. Be downtrodden and lazy for a change, won't you?!
