Ronan Takes Center Role in 'Lovely Bones'
The central character has been found
People anxious for the next Peter Jackson film The Lovely Bones or any news related to the film can dig into this as the central character in the adaptation of Alice Sebold's book has just been filled by newcomer Saoirse Ronan.
Ronan takes on the role of Susie. The story is told through her voice as she was murdered as a young girl but continues to observe her family on Earth after her death.
She witnesses the impact of her death on her loved ones, while her killer skillfully covers his tracks and prepares to murder again.
Ronan joins Rachel Weisz and Ryan Gosling who play Susie's grieving parents. The script was penned by Jackson, Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh. Paramount Pictures will distribute the feature sometime in 2009.
