Rockwell for 'Hitcher' Remake
Sam I am might be hitchin' a ride.
MTV, the newest source for movie news apparently, got in a word with Michael Bay who revealed to the "music video" station that Sam Rockwell just might be the lead in Platinum Dunes upcoming remake of The Hitcher.
Rockwell, if he signs, would take on the part that was played by C. Thomas Howell, who offers a ride to a homicidal stranger (which was played by Rutger Hauer).
The film will be directed by the music-video director Dave Meyers (ahhh, that is why MTV gets the scoop).
One thing the article does say is that a representative for Rockwell cautioned that no contracts have been signed yet. Stay tuned as this might develop into one hell of a remake if Rockwell gets the gig.
