The Rock Just Doesn't Care
From electrifying to pussified...
Ryan Seacrest called Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson the new action star of our genre. What a load of shit! Has anyone bothered to look at his post Walking Tall resume? Be Cool? Gridiron Gang? The Game Plan? And now The Tooth Fairy? A film in which he will play the title character? Yeah, what an action star he is.
In this latest flick set up at 20th Century Fox Johnson will star in a Santa Clause style of film in which he plays an ordinary man who's brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom.
Is the Santa Clause connection a coincidence? Fuck no. Micahel Lembeck, who directed the second and third installments of the Tim Allen holiday-comedies will direct Tooth Fairy from a script penned by Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel and Joshua Sternin & Jeffrey Ventimilia. Yeah, lots of pencils went into this one becoming suitable for presentation without a snicker.
The pic is set for an August start and most likely an early 2009 dumping ground release.
