The Rock and Brendan Fraser Go 'G.I. Joe'?

My guess is that Latino Review had this rumor two days ago and held onto it because they didn't want it to be considered an April Fool's joke as it appears director Stephen Sommers is pulling a little Mummy favoritism and bringing back a couple of his actors for cameos in G.I. Joe as a new rumor has Dwayne "The Scorpion King" "Rock" Johnson starring as Shipwreck and Brendan "Richard 'Rick' O'Connell" Fraser as Gung Ho.
Apparently Fraser has already filmed his part and will be seen in a scene a training sequence at THE PIT. The Rock has apparently only been offered a part as the Latino character Hector Delgado a.k.a. Shipwreck. Considering it is Latino Review they are quick to point out that The Rock is Samoan, not Latino.
If the rumor is true we may not actually find out about it until the film is released, that is if they are trying to keep it quiet.
G.I. Joe hits theaters August 7, 2009.

Wow! I didn't even think Brendan Fraser would make an appearance in the new GI Joe film. I missed out on his movies that were released last summer.Man would that be a hit to see his sexy face on the big screen again, it's been seven years!
