Remaking THE BLOB
Paramount Pictures readies a remake of the 1958 horror...
It seems if there is a new story featuring a new movie coming from Paramount Pictures the word "remake" is an absolute necessity. The latest films added to the Paramount remake slate are The Longest Yard, The Bad News Bears, War of the Worlds and The Fog.
Now, today, we get news that the studio is planning a remake of the 1958 camp horror classic The Blob, which starred Steve McQueen.
The original pic told the story of a jelly-like substance that crashes from space and grows as it consumes every human in its path.
This isn't the first time The Blob has been remade as Frank Darabont and Chuck Russell reintroduced the film back in 1988.
