The Punisher is a 'Mutant'
Thomas Jane set for sci-fi actioner.
Unfortunately this isn't additional news regarding the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flick, but it is news telling us that Thomas Jane (The Punisher) has signed on to star in The Mutant Chronicles based on the role-playing board game of the same name.
The film is described as a sci-fi action flick set in the 23rd century, in which four giant corporations have pillaged the last of the planet's resources, causing a demonic, marauding army of underworld NecroMutants to wage war against humans for what remains. Jane will play a battle-weary Marine who leads a squad of soldiers against the alien hordes.
This doesn't seem like it has a chance to be any better than Doom, but what the hell, we need movies like this to make the others look better.
Filming is expected to begin in the spring as more casting is under way.
