'Public Enemies' Trailer Blazes Online
The wait is over...
The trailer for Universal's Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Jason Clarke and Rory Cochran has just debuted online.
The action flick directed by Michael Mann (Heat) tells the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Depp) — the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover’s fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public.
The trailer was supposed to debut on Entertainment Tonight but here it is… Enjoy! Public Enemies hits theaters on July 1.
You can also check out the trailer in high definition at Apple.

Very good trailer…still it leaves me wishing they were making an American Tabloid movie for some reason.
Fantastic, Seems I have been waiting for this trailer forever…now it is here. Purvis conforting Dillinger through the bars is great. Dillinger vaulting the bank cage great. Thanks so much now I won't have to suffer through that entertainment show.
HO…LY…CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was already my numero uno for 2009. This trailer just confirms that! I CANT WAIT!
OMG its going to be so good. GOD, I seriuosly cant wait. Deep plus Coltillard and Bale? I might just die
awesome!
That just jumped to really friggin' high on my list to see.
This movie has "Instant Classic" written all over it. Depp finally tackling something with actual depth and not just quirks, Bale continuing to solidify himself as a go-to good guy and Michael Mann being involved is just the cherry on top.
This is officially my #1 "Must See" movie.
This movie is going to be fucking awesome. It seems that Michael Mann is using the HD cameras again.
Loved the trailers and the Debut poster. But very disappointed with the website its like they have just thrown it together. The entrance with Johnny Depp is fantastic but then it all goes down hill from there the pictures just look wrong for this website.
I am reading the book currently, it seems that they have taken one strand of the book (Dillinger) and turned it into a Hollywood blockbuster. Though, there is nothing wrong with that, per se but in the book there is Bonnie and Clyde, Baby Face Nelson, The Barker Family etc.
The book is terrific. It is also about the birth of FBI. Maybe, an actual film version of the book will become too messy to handle. So different directors can pick different stories and make films on them. There could actually three to four films! Ah, fantasies!
I am excited about this film, though. The cast and the director are great!
