Production Begins on DeNiro's HIDE AND SEEK

Principal photography has begun on HIDE AND SEEK, a psychological suspense thriller starring Robert De Niro, Dakota Fanning, Famke Janssen and Elisabeth Shue. Directed by John Polson, the film is written by Ari Schlossberg and produced by Barry Josephson. Joe Caracciolo, Jr. is the executive producer.

Principal photography has begun on HIDE AND SEEK, a psychological suspense thriller starring Robert De Niro, Dakota Fanning, Famke Janssen and Elisabeth Shue. Directed by John Polson, the film is written by Ari Schlossberg and produced by Barry Josephson. Joe Caracciolo, Jr. is the executive producer.

Melissa Leo and Robert John Burke co-star. Dariusz Wolski is the director of photography, Steven Jordan is the production designer, Aude Bronson-Howard is the costume designer, and Jeffrey Ford is the editor.

The film will shoot entirely on location in New York.

In HIDE AND SEEK, Robert De Niro portrays a widowed father who desperately tries to break through to his 9-year-old daughter when she creates a creepy, maniacal imaginary friend with a terrifying vendetta.

Two-time Academy Award(R)-winning De Niro is Dr. David Callaway, Ph.D., a psychologist and father trying to help his daughter Emily, played by Dakota Fanning, deal with the trauma of her mother's death. Famke Janssen is Katherine, a child psychiatrist and colleague of David. Elisabeth Shue is Elizabeth, a divorced woman who befriends David and Emily. Melissa Leo and Robert John Burke are Laura and Steven, their next door neighbors who are struggling with the death of their own young daughter.
