The Producers' Look Toward the Big Screen
The hit Broadway play 'The Producers' has been given the go ahead to make a big screen adaptation according to Variety.
The hit Broadway play "The Producers" has been given the go ahead to make a big screen adaptation according to Variety.
Leads Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane reached the deal with Universal Pictures with a mid-seven-figures deal just as the play has begun its second season run.
The film has a tentative release set for late 2005 with Mel Brooks set to produce along with his co-writer Thomas Meehan and Susan Storman is set to helm the project.
