Pena Tapped for Stone 9/11 Feature
'Crash' co-star opposite Cage.
Variety is reporting that Michael Pena, one of the co-stars of the ensemble drama Crash, has been tapped to star alongside Nicholas Cage in Oliver Stone's untitled World Trade Center rescue feature for Paramount Pictures.
The feature will go into production later this year in New York City as Pena will play a Port Authority cop who answered the rescue call on Sept. 11, 2001, along with a colleague (Cage). Trapped in the rubble when the buildings collapsed, they were among the few to be rescued.
The script was written by Andrea Berloff.
