Wouldn't it be odd if one of the Watchmen rumors turned out to be entirely true? Well, that just might happen as MTV managed to get everything but "from the mouth" confirmation that Patrick Wilson will be playing Nite Owl in Warner Bros. Watchmen, which is sure to be a huge hit at Comic Con.

When asked about the role Wilson replied, “I’m not a good liar… so I really shouldn’t go into it.”

You may be saying, "Well that isn't confirmation!" Right you are, but his Lakeview Terrace co-star had more to say.

Kerry Washington was quoted saying, “I keep teasing him,” she laughed. “Whenever he eats candy or something, I go: ‘You’re playing a superhero! I don’t think you should be eating pretzels!’” As fans of the graphic novel know, Nite Owl is a bit out of shape to which Washington continues, “He is [supposed to be out of shape], yes. That’s what [Wilson] always says. But I always go ‘Yeah, but you still want to be defined!”

There are a few more quotes in the article, and they pretty much all say he is taking on the role. If you want to read the rest click here, but stay tuned… I think we will have official word soon enough.
