First 'Paranormal Activity 3' Poster Wants You to Discover How the Activity Began
It runs in the family
I'm sort of surprised I'm actually interested in seeing Paranormal Activity 3. I really enjoyed the first film and was largely dissatisfied with the second film. Once again this third film is a prequel story, going back before both films to teach us all how the "activity" began. I'm unsure of who exactly will be in the cast, but I would expect Katie Featherston to make an appearance.
Just like the previous two films, the new poster is largely uninspiring and something you and I could have made in a matter of minutes. Nevertheless, it's the official version so have a peek.
Paranormal Activity 3 was directed by Catfish helmers Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and hits theaters on October 21. If you haven't yet watched the first trailer you can see that here and a viral website for the film seems to be acting up if you haven't yet seen it right here.

Please tell me that the website's "404 Not Found" is not intentional for some goofy reason…sure seems that way…
Yeah, I am assuming it is intentional and I can't for the life of me figure out why they would do that.
Guessing it was unintentional, because it's up and running now.
I only ever saw the first one, which didn't do a whole lot for me (I ended up wikipedia-ing the plot of the sequel to save myself the rental) but I saw the trailer for this a few weeks back (I think it played with FD5).
It didn't get much of a response from the audience I was with. I suspect it will be like most franchises, those who like it will turn up and those who don't get it will give it a pass. Assuming the budget is as low as the last couple films though, there's no way Paramount can't hoover up some easy money on this one though.
Am I the only one who finds it strange how each new installment goes back in time instead of forward? I'm not saying that it's a bad way to make a franchise, but I don't think it's fitting for a series like this.
I know it's nitpicking but am I the only one bothered by the fact that their home movies from 1988 are in widescreen?
"it runs in the family" I loled. I can't wait to see this.
