Pair of New Posters for Johnny Depp's 'The Rum Diary'
Welcome to Puerto Rico
Two new posters promoting The Rum Diary have debuted online, one last week and a much, much better one today over at Apple.
The film is an adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's first novel and features Johnny Depp in the lead role as Paul Kemp, a roaming journalist who travels to Puerto Rico to work for the San Juan Star, and soon becomes obsessed with Chenault (Amber Heard), a wildly attractive fiancee of shady local businessman Hal Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart). The film also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Rispoli and Richard Jenkins. Bruce Robinson (Withnail & I) directs.
I've added both posters below and you can check out larger versions, along with a couple of images from the film, in my full Rum Diary photo gallery right here. And if you haven't yet watched the trailer, why that's directly above.
The Rum Diary will hit limited theaters on October 28.

I loved the trailer!
The first poster is fantastic!!
By the way Brad, kudos on the site redesign, looks great.
I love posters but I love the site re-design even better. Brilliantly made.
Ditto on the site redesign. I have been impatiently waiting for this film ever since I first experienced "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" back in 2004. The trailer was brilliant. Depp again nails the feeling of a H.S. Thompson work.
Great stuff indeed
