Pair of 'Inglourious Basterds' Pictures Feature Pitt and Kruger
God I hate that title...
I'm sorry, but the intentional misspelling of Quentin Tarantino's new movie title, Inglourious Basterds, is an absolute nightmare for me. Every single time I have to write about it I have to go look the movie up to make sure I am misspelling it correctly… such a nuisance. Anyhow, a pair of new images from the upcoming World War II flick have surfaced over in the Filmz.ru galleries. The one above featuring Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Raine and the one below features German actress Diane Kruger as Bridget von Hammersmark who coincidentally plays a German actress in the film as well as an undercover agent.
These are the first official images from the actual production to surface online following the initial production shot of Pitt from earlier this year.
Tarantino's film is expected to release in 2009 and he has also mentioned hope it would be ready for the Cannes Film Festival beginning May 13, 2009. You can get more info on the flick including the complete storyline here.

At least it's not a 'u'.
I love how the original movie was almost a blaxploitation (sp?) film (I haven't seen it but it certainly seems like that), and this one is all about Jews killing Nazis.
Seems like Tarantino's going in a completely different direction which I really like…I hope this ends up being more than just schtick (Aldo Raine looks rather comical in that picture, but I guess we'll see the tone of the film when we see a trailer).
