O'Toole Settles into Kinkade's 'Cottage'
This gives this picture a bit of potential
Peter O'Toole is still fishing for that Oscar and if it hadn't been for Forest Whitaker last year he would have had it, but if this next film pans out the way it should he may be looking at another shot at gold-plated glory.
O'Toole is in final negotiations to star in The Christmas Cottage over at Lionsgate, a feature based on the Thomas Kinkade painting, which we first reported on back on March 9.
The film is set to be directed by Michael Campus and is said to be partly biographical and based on events that led American painter Kinkade to become an artist. O'Toole will play a painter Glen Weissler, based on one of Kinkade's mentors.
Production is scheduled to begin this month in Vancouver and Whistler.
