Oscar Overture

The RopeofSilicon Oscar Overture is a simple process of tracking the winners from a select group of major industry award shows, guilds, associations and critical societies in an effort to better keep track of the awards process leading up to the Oscar nominations.

As winners are chosen the winning poster will be added to the chart. Dates and the official websites for each organization are listed and will be kept up-to-date throughout the season.

2 questions. One, why is SAG not next to the rest of the guilds? Second, I don't think you can accurately list American Hustle as a "best picture" type winner for SAG. The award doesn't go to the film, it goes to the actors. Gravity, despite being a better film, would never win a best ensemble award considering there are basically 2 actors.

I should also add that I really like this page. Seeing all the awards add up...cool
